The Kaymet 70TH/T Electric Table Hotplate

 

Electric table hotplate with sturdy anodised aluminium surrounds, heated by an element bonded to the underside of the toughened bronze tinted glass surface. Incorporates a hot-spot for soup and warm drinks. Fitted with a temperature control, neon switch and removable lead (generous 3m length). Tough black Valox thermoplastic heat resistant handles, powder-coated aluminium underside, robust tapered feet and an anodised aluminium electrical box with screen-printed graphic.

Kaymet have been producing hotplates since the 1950s. The current model 70TH/T was evolved in 1993 through a collaboration with The Design Council and electrical appliance designers Destech is is now a design classic. It has been continuously produced ever since, rightly earning a reputation as versatile, tough and reliable. Each hotplate is produced at our Peckham factory then tested before dispatch.

The hotplate fits on top of the 27038 or 37038 Kaymet Modern Trolley, or it can stand alone on any level surface.

Compatible with a Gastronorm size GN1/1 container and multiples of all common smaller Gastronorm containers including 2x GN2/3.

The 70TH/T complies with: The Low Voltage Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations: SI 728: 1989 Specification EN60 335-1: 1988 with amendments 1 to 10 & EN60 335-2-12: 1991, and; The essential requirements of the EMC Directive, number 89/336/EEC, Test Standard EN55014: 1993

The hotplate is CE marked.

Fitted with a standard BS1363 fused British power plug, or by request with a suitable European round-pin power plug.
